Studio Sessions Psalm 20

Matt and Spike spent some time in the studio working through ideas for Psalm 20. Psalm 20 is a prayerful psalm attributed to King David, often seen as a communal plea for divine protection and victory before battle. It emphasises themes of trust in God, divine support, and assurance of triumph through faith. The psalm begins with the people praying for the king’s success and protection, invoking God’s help from Zion and the sanctuary. It highlights the people’s reliance on God’s power rather than human strength: “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” The psalm concludes with a confident declaration of God’s saving power and a plea for the king’s deliverance.
This track will be one of the Psalms on our new (as yet untitled) studio album.
